Christmas Day Lunch

Christmas Day we go to Greer to Christian Heritage Church and get together will all of the extended Hawkins family for lunch and gifts for the kids.  Sam loves to see Uncle David.

Christmas morning at home

We got up Christmas morning and exchanged gifts between the three of us.  Sam got some spiky play balls, a little people farm, some clothes and a few little other things.  I got some clothes, really nice shirt from Jamie, and some Saw horses; Sam is helping me check them out.  Jamie got some jeans and shirts from Old Navy and a new Cannondale mountain bike.  When it gets warm we will be able to go biking as a family.

Christmas Eve

After lunch and exchanging gifts at the Hawkin's house we went to Christmas Eve Candlelight service at Brookwood Church.  All of the Johnsman family joined us.  There was great praise and worship music, as well as Christmas hymns.  Sam did a great job and sat real well for us.  He got a little squirmy during Perry's Christmas message, but once the music started back he was great.

After church everyone came over to our house and we had pizza.  All four of the boys played with Sam's new toys, they had a ball.  We tried a second time to get a photo with all four the boys in their new PJs, this time it worked, but Uncle Greg is in the photos too.  So......maybe we got a good photo of the five boys.

Christmas at the Hawkin's

We went Christmas Eve over to Grandma and Papa Hawkin's house and had a great meal and then exchanged gifts.  David, Amber, Kaylee, and Abbey where there.  As well as Great Grandma Duncan, Aunt Rose and her friend.
Sam got lots of toys, I don't think he knows what to play with first.  Sam really seems to like books, he looks forward to us reading them to him.

Christmas at the Johnsman's

Today we went over to Grandma and Grandpa Johnsman's house for Christmas.  Annette, Damian and their two boys, Ambrose and Blaise came down from Rochester NY.  Greg, Betsy and their son Victor came up from Edisto Island, SC.  It was great to have everyone together for Christmas.  We are spreading Christmas out over 3 days, one day at the Johnsman's, the next with the Hawkins and Christmas day at home.
Sam enjoyed his first Christmas.  The pictures below are of Sam opening presents and Aunt Annette made all the boys PJs, so they were all trying them out.

Copper's Crate

Sam loves Copper so much and Copper is like a mom to Sam, always worried about him and watching him.  We have to close Copper's crate door to keep Sam out.  But today Sam just crawled in, not sure if Copper wanted in him there though.

Roper Mountain Holiday Lights

We went tonight to Roper Mountain Science Center to see the Holiday Lights.  You drive through the Science Center property to see a lot of light displays, they also have a place where you can get out of the car and see more lights, see Santa, get treats and other activities.  Sam had a great time and loved the lights.  We had him in the front seat with us during the slow drive through the Science Center, he just leaned on the dash and looked out the window.
