Leaves, Leaves

It has turned cooler and windy and we spend Saturday racking leaves.  We raked a lot of leaves, but there are still so many on the tree.  We'll have to rake one more time this year.  Sam seemed to like the leaves and helped me smash the leaves down in the truck.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Happy Thanksgiving

We had Thanksgiving dinner with Jamie's family on Sunday and Thanksgiving dinner with my parents and Greg, Betsy and Victor on Thursday.  It was great to see family members, eat some great food, share time together and reflect on the many blessing we have; we are so thankful for everything.

Just a few photos of eating snacks before having Thanksgiving dinner.  It was great to get Sam and Victor together again.  We look forward to Christmas.

 

 

 

 

A box is the best toy

Today I got a new Home Theater Receiver, our old one died.  Sam was so happy to play in the box with all the packaging peanuts.  A box is a much better toy than all the bought toys.

 

 

 

Caught

Jamie caught Sam crawling into his bouncy chair today.  Sam misses his bouncy chair, at times he still wants to get in it, but he is too big.  We have not put the bouncy chair away in the closet or attic yet, so it is so tempting.

 

 

Home for lunch

I come home almost everyday for lunch.  I look forward to an hour away from work and time with Sam.  Sam and I were busy watching TV.  I don't remember what we were watching, but I thought I would make faces at Jamie or copy Sam's face; we're just two peas in a pod.

 

 

Playin' the Saxophone

I learned to play the saxophone in elementary school and we got a saxophone toy from Annette.  She said her sons, our nephews, loved to play with this toy.  I think she was happy to pass the toy on to us because it is loud, it has the same 4 tunes over and over and after awhile you get tired of it.  Well Sam loves it and as long as he is happy, we can live with it.  Maybe he wants to play an instrument in the band like I did.  I loved to play the saxophone and then the tuba in marching band.

 

 

 

 

Blue eyes

When Jamie was pregnant with Sam I told her I hoped Sam would have her beautiful blue eyes, well I got my wish.  Jamie will say his eyes are more beautiful than her's, but I think they are both beautiful.  I have always loved blue eyes, I think the eyes are the windows to someone's soul.  Jamie and Sam have beautiful eyes and they are definitely beautiful people.  Jamie got some great photos today of Sam.  I love the second photo with his hand partially over the camera.

8 months old

Today Sam is 8 months old.  I know I have said it almost every month and will continue to say it, but Sam is growing soooooo fast and the time is going by sooooo fast.  It just seeming like a few weeks ago we came home from the hospital.

 

 

 

 

ExerSaucer time

Jamie got an Exersaucer for Sam and he loves to play in it.  All of the different toys and sounds just excite him.  He loves to bounce and just make lots of noise.  But apparently he might have been bored with it today and wanted to try a different way of playing in the Exersaucer.

 

 

 

 

Soooooo tired

Sam was so tired he just fell asleep in the middle of the living room floor.  Normally he fights his naps soooooo bad.  Jamie says he gets that from me, I fight taking a nap and even going to bed early.
