Smilin' Sam

Sam is a very happy baby and many times he gets into a giggling and smiling fit.  This evening he was just smilin' for the camera.

Afternoon nap????

Sam has been fighting taking naps and sometimes in the afternoon when Jamie finally gets Sam to take a nap, it is only for a few minutes.  This afternoon Jamie went back to check on Sam and he wanted no part of sleeping.  Copper went to check on Sam too, she is such a big help.

Sippy Cup

We gave Sam a sippy Cup to see if he could do it.  He grabbed onto the sippy cup very quickly and holds it great.  With a little help it didn't take him long to figure out where the milk comes out.  We are still working on tipping the sippy cup to get the milk.  Sam still get his bottle, but we are slowly introducing the sippy cup over the next couple months.

Book Belly Time

Evening book time on our bellies, Sam was into this book, and Copper helped too.

SUPER SAM!!!

Sam likes to pull on his bib all the time and it seems like it ends up backwards many times.  This evening Sam was flying with his bib as his cape.  He's SUPER SAM!!!

Evening Book

Every evening I try to read Sam a book.  I was able to get a big lot of Berenstain Bears from eBay, it brings back memories of reading those books when I grew up.

We had to try something new by reading a book on the floor, Sam really liked it and was very attentive and inquisitive

Sunday walk in Downtown Greenville

We went to downtown Greenville after church today to look for the "Mice on Main".  There are 9 little bronze mice hidden throughout Main St. Greenville.  It was done after the Good Night Moon book.  We were able to find all 9 mice, the clues from the Mast General Store definitely helped.  Afterward we went to Falls Park and walked across the bridge, looked at the beautiful scenery and we then went to the Pavilion.  Jamie fed the ducks, big mistake, every duck goose and pigeon came towards us.

4 months old

Sam turned 4 months old today.  We went to the doctor for his 4 month checkup.  Sam is 26 inches long and weighed 16lb 7.5oz, he is getting so big.  Sam got 4 shots, he only cried for a minute.  The big news is that he got the okay to eat solid food and some juice.  Jamie feed Sam some rice cereal and diluted Pear juice, it looked like he enjoyed it.

Jamie goes back to work

Today was Jamie's first day back to work, she will be working half days for the next year or two.  It just so happened that Jamie's first day back to work was a vacation day for me.  So Sam and I had the morning to ourselves.  We had a good time, Sam kept me busy.

Day at Lake Keowee with friends

I took Friday July 2 off of work; Jamie, Sam and I met up with Hollie, Chris, Maddy & Reagan Forrester at Lake Keowee. Hollie's family and extended family where staying at Crooked Creek Campground for the 4th of July weekend.  We went and hung out with them and road around on our Seadoo Jetski for awhile.  Jamie, Chris and I went out later and pulled each other around on the tube, we had a great time.
