After we went to the Lake, we went back to Mom and Dad Johnsman's house for dinner.  Before dinner Sam's cousins, Ambrose and Blaise wanted to check out Sam closer.

My sister Annette and her family (Damian, Ambrose and Blaise) came to visit us over Memorial Day weekend.  They spent some time with us, my parents and then went to Edisto Island to see Greg, Betsy and Victor (our new nephew, two weeks younger than Sam)

We went to Twelve Mile Park in Clemson for some swimming, playing in the sand, a little lunch and of course out on the Jetski.

Dad having a bite to eat, wouldn't want him to miss a meal; of course I'm just like him and I think Sam is the same way, we like to eat.

Jamie got Sam a little float, so we put him in it and put him in the water.  He just lay there and kicked his feet, he enjoyed it.

Waiting for Daddy

I made the comment to Jamie one day that I look forward to the day when Sam is at the door waiting for me to come home from work; our dog Copper does that already.

I came home for lunch today and I saw that the front door was open, I saw Copper sitting there like usual, but I saw someone new waiting for me, SAM!!!  All I could do was smile and laugh with excitement, I will never forget today.

Sam and his Teddy Bear

Sam likes to sit in his Bumbo and one evening Jamie was playing with a Teddy Bear and Sam.  Sam wasn't sure about it at first, but warmed up to the Teddy Bear.

After some time with Teddy, Sam wanted some close up shots, he's our cute little boy.

Faces of Sam

Sam has many faces, smiles, serious, not-quite-sure, a the half smile like Elvis and a good profile too.  Anyway you look at it, he is cute and we love him so much.

Helping mom with laundry

Sam was busy today helping Jamie with laundry.  Sam did a great job, my clothes are folded so well.

Sam was so tired from helping with the laundry he took a nap on the couch.  Jamie put Sam in the middle of the couch and he wiggled his way between the couch and the ottoman.  We guess he was happy with that spot, he slept there for awhile.

Day at the Lake

Jamie and I dropped Sam off at Jamie's parents and went to Lake Hartwell for the afternoon.  We had a great time riding around on the Jetski.  It was nice to have a few hours to ourselves, talk, and enjoy the beautiful scenery around Lake Hartwell.  We got back to Jamie's parents around 4:30pm, we missed Sam, but we're not sure how much he missed us?  Sam was keep busy and was the center of attention for Jamie's parents and later in the day his two cousins, Kaylee and Abbey.  But can you blame them he so cute and such a good boy.

We had a great day and I know I am looking forward to more time at the lake.

2 month checkup at the doctor

Sam had his 2 month checkup at the doctor this afternoon.  Sam weighs 13lb-12oz, he is 24 3/4 inches long and head measures 16 1/4 inches.  Sam got 4 shots and he did great.  The two nurses did one shot at a time in each leg, it was over in a matter of seconds.  Sam cried for about 15 seconds in Jamie's arms and then was okay; he is such a tough guy.  Sam continues to change so much everyday, he is very talkative, he smiles and laughs, and he is so curious about watching things.  It is great to watch him grow right in front of us.

Happy Mother's Day

Jamie had a great 1st Mother's Day, Sam is a good boy and told me to get Jamie some things for Mother's Day.  Sam and I got Jamie some flowers, a cookie cake, and a charm necklace that is a boy's head silhouette with "Samuel, 3-7-10" on it.  Sam is posing with Jamie's gift's for Mother's Day, but the best gift is Sam.

Happy Mother's Day to all of the Mother's in our family.

2 months old

Sam is 2 months old today.

Sam had to get a change of clothes, spit up happens.

BUMBO TIME!!!

Jamie got Sam's Bumbo out of the closet to see if he would sit up in it and hold his head up well or not, looks like he got the hang of it really quick.
